back in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, television didn't broadcast 24 hours a day.

when the program was over, TV stations transmitted test cards and test patterns — strange geometric images originally designed to calibrate television equipment.

for generations growing up with them, they also became the visual language of:

TESTBILD GENERATOR 2 takes this piece of television history and treats it with considerably less respect than it probably deserves.

It generates animated test patterns, frequency lines, CRT interference, flashes, mutations, custom text and audio-reactive visual disturbances,
somewhere between an old broadcast test card, a malfunctioning television station
and a machine dreaming about GLITCH art.
